Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. [6] He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai, India,[4] Pichai earned his degree at IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. In the United States, he attained an M.S. He was awarded a Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also received an MBA from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. After a brief stint at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 where he was in charge of the product management and development efforts for a variety of Google's client-facing software, including Google Chrome as well as ChromeOS as well as being largely responsible for Google Drive. In addition Pichai went on to supervise the development of other apps like Gmail as well as Google Maps. Pichai declared in 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 open-source and introduced WebM an entirely new video format. The Chromebook came out in 2012. Pichai, who was responsible for the rollout of Android in 2012, added Android to the list of Google products.
